Non-profit invitation for Codorusfest

Dear Friend of the Codorus,

Hope. Real hope for a healthy and restored Codorus Creek. Now that’s something that’s been in short supply for quite a few decades. Yet, now there’s a rapidly growing movement for just such a thing, and more and more people are actually finding real hope that the Codorus can be nurtured back to health. Like a canary in a gold mine, we sense that if the Codorus dies, so shall we. Our Creek is sick, and we all know it. Today there is a groundswell of interest and unprecedented cooperation among local, regional, and national groups. There is good reason for our hope.

You are receiving this letter because we believe that you have something vital to contribute to the second annual Codorusfest, an environmental education and music festival along the banks of the Codorus in downtown York, Pennsylvania. Educational groups, agricultural groups, recreational groups, health agencies, industry representatives, government agencies, and others concerned about the Codorus and the environment at large are invited to display educational materials to let the public know about your work.

The second annual Codorusfest will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2002 from 12:00 pm to 9:45 pm along the Rail Trail between King Street and Philadelphia Street, on the grounds of the Colonial Courthouse, and at the Boat Basin on the west side of the Creek. If you would like to participate, please complete the form on the reverse side of this letter and mail to:
