04/15/04 : Earth Day at Penn State York
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Earth Day at Penn State York
York, PA – Come celebrate Earth Day with fun and education. The Penn State Outdoor Adventure Club and the Codorus Creek Improvement Partnership have organized the Second Annual Earth Day at Penn State – York. There will be four bands performing: Shawn and Sara, The Fat Handsome, High Falootin, and Danny O and Dave Sansoucie. In the Ruhl Student Center we’ll have speakers on Codorus Creek improvements, “From my Backyard to the Chesapeake Bay”, Air Quality issues in York County, wind generated electricity, and stormwater impacts and management. There will also be many educational booths and activities for kids of all ages. You can even come test-drive a Honda Civic Hybrid.
Earth Day will be held Rain or Shine on Saturday, April 24, from noon to 5 pm on the grounds at Penn State –York. Thanks to all of our sponsors including: Apple Honda, C.S.Davidson, Envoguard, Robert Glessner - attorney, the Wolf Organization, and the York County Conservation District.
